By recasting the image of sun-dried tomatoes from elite specialty item to everyday food staple, the company is capturing a significant share of the $50 million sun-dried tomato market, which is expected to be a $90 million category by 1997.
California Sun Dry Foods has perfected the sun drying and packing process in a manner that both enhances and draws out the inherent flavor of the tomato.
